ATTENTION: PointClickCare has offered Pro-Tracking since 2012, and we have continued to support annual MDS updates. During this time, we have invested heavily in the development of a comprehensive Analytics module and expanded reports within the core application, resulting in duplicated and redundant functionality. Moreover, Pro-Tracking is not PDPM compliant, and the dated user experience does not align with PointClickCare standards.

With this in mind, the decision has been made to discontinue Pro-Tracking effective October 1, 2019, with the complete retirement effective January 1, 2020. For more information, please see our "Frequently Asked Questions" and "What does this mean for your team?".

What's New (2010/09/27)

Lots of things are changing at Pro-Tracking. Please review the notes below so you will not be caught by surprise.

  1. OUR NEW LOOK: Pro-Tracking is becoming part of AccuMed's Connections. On October 1, your usual login will take you to screens that look like the banner above. The 3.0 reports have been organized along the lines of facility work flow: Quality, Reimbursement, Compliance, etc. Users can still see the Site Map under "All".

  2. QM/QI's FOR MDS 3.0: Pro-Tracking will offer our subscribers solid QM/QI information throughout the transition to MDS 3.0 and while CMS "takes a vacation" from publishing state and national QM/QI statistics. As soon as we have the specs for the 3.0 QM/QI's, we will begin working on 3.0 QM/QI reports. We will not have state and national averages to post, but will use the Pro-Tracking database for our benchmark (as we do now). We will continue to report MDS 2.0 QM/Q's as long as we receive 2.0 assessments.

  3. CUSTOM REPORT CREATOR: This terrific feature is revised for 3.0 and will be even more important in the next few months. Users can create audit reports (or use a Pro-Tracking Shared Report) to monitor specific quality areas.

  4. MDS DUE ROSTER: We have mapped AA8a and AA8b from MDS 2.0 to A0310A and A0310B in MDS 3.0. PLEASE CONFIRM THIS DATA FOR THE FIRST ASSESSMENT IN MDS 3.0 FOR EACH RESIDENT.

  5. PROJECTED ESTIMATE OF PPS/MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT: Be sure to enter the new PPS Daily Rates (and Medicaid rates where applicable) for your facility in RUG RATE ENTRY: MASTER FILE FOR REVENUE REPORTS. This item has been moved to the UTILITIES menu to help avoid confusion in setting date ranges for the Revenue Reports.

  6. LAST, BUT EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Each facility currently using DIRECTCONNECT to upload MDS files to Pro-Tracking (PT), MUST update to version 4.0 of DirectConnect in order that MDS 3.0 assessments will be accepted by PT. Instructions are on the PT header. PT will accept any file format that your MDS software produces.

As always, we are here to help. Click on "Contact" located in the top right corner of this page.

Plan to attend one of our web updates for MDS 3.0. Watch the login page for dates and times.

Your Pro-Tracking team.
